WESTWORLD WORLDLY QUIRKS – Rampant Speculations

HBO’s WESTWORLD is increasingly curious with fan’s rampant speculation throughout social media. The script is well written, leaving subtle hints or clues. 

This is exactly what Westworld Director Jonathan Nolan wants to hear from his fans. Did you know the writing team is a family affair? Johnathan’s brother, Chris is writing, as well is his wife, Lisa Joy. Chris also help write Interstellar ( which I may add, a part of the movie was filmed in Alberta Canada) and The Dark Knight.  

Westworld continuing Episodes 3 and 4 are indeed worldly quirks to think about – It raises questions we’ve been asking ourselves for sometime now : 

• Is reality just a vivid imagination?  
• Are we in a program clearly stated in the Matrix Trilogy films.
• Will we be able to control Androids or humanoid robots?  This question was raised in both movies, I Robot and back to the original film, Westworld in 1973. 

In the future, will humans be able to upload our consciousness or transplant our existing brain into a Android Skeleton body, without the fear of dying ?   This is a possible invention for our future, where MAN can live inside a Android Skeleton body after his organic body fails.

It really makes you think! 

• What will be the political outcome of future robots and will they have the Freedom of Rights, we humans so dearly hang on to? 
• Will Robots revolt and take revenge on humans?  It’s a possibility. 
• Can robots take over the world, like in the Terminator films? 

All of these are valid questions in our real world, but what about the growing fanbased questions and concerns in the HBO WESTWORLD TV Series?  

Possible Theories by Fans : 

1. Is GUEST William from the past, possibly becomes the MIB (The Man in Black ) in the future? (This is unlikely but interesting, never the less)
2. We assume the timelines are relatively in sequence, but we find the timelines could be the past or future.  (At this point in time, it’s hard to distinguish).
3. We can see hosts Maave and Delores are now questioning their existence. It’s assumed they will soon FREE themselves from the game all together. (How will character’s Maave and Delores push past the fact they’re robots. It will indeed be interesting to see the outcome).
4. We are lead to believe the WESTWORLD Park is far away from everything else. You could even come to the conclusion they are on another world. (Character Bernard talks to his wife as if transmission could be light years away). 
5. Character Elsie Hughes ( a Programmer working closely with Bernard). She appears to me as witty and determined. As a clever girl, she won’t take no for an answer. She’s very concerned with the abnormal behaviour of the HOSTS, coming across a serious problem with a stray host (robot) who attacks her defence personnel, character Ashley Stubbs, head of security. Before their attack by the stray host, Ashley points out the sketched markings to Elsie( left behind in camp by the host) are possible from the belt of the Orion constellation, which is located on the celestial equator. 

This last piece could be mean something.  If you discover the Orion constellation you will realize the rectangular shaped constellation consists of four stars —Rigel, Betelgeuse, Bellatrix and Saiph.   The three stars (approximately in the middle) of Orion’s Belt—Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka.  

So – what does this mean ? Is it a quest for another planet ? Can WESTWORLD be located on different planets throughout our the Milky Way Galaxy?  

In the original WESTWORLD ( 1973 film) there were Three THEME PARKS. 

1.  West World
2. Medieval World 
3. Roman World. 

Is it possible Westworld is on one planet and Medieval World, along with the Roman World ( showcasing the ancient Roman city of Pompeii) will be on their very own planets?

Indeed, it will be interesting to see where each episode will takes us. What I’m figuring is, the First Season will be all about West World, while the adjoining Season Two and Three will lead us to the Theme Parks mentioned.  ( I hope so 😎) 

BUT – it’s also mentioned the sketch of Orion is incorrect due to there’s four points along Orion’s Belt, instead of three.

Now this interests me too, because if you follow past Orion’s Belt, it will lead you to a fourth star named Sirius. This immediately leads into my screenplay BLACK ANGELS. Of course, it’s impossible to believe Jonathan Nolan knows anything about my screenplay. 

Moving on – 

It’s my belief, in the Westworld’s first season the MiB ( Man in Black) will eventually find the route of the maze, he so desperately needs. It’s obvious the MiB is an experienced Gamer ( I have calculated with 30 years of experience he’s spent approximately $7 million throughout the years). We now know his foundation is well known in the real world as a couple of fans approached him, trying to compliment the foundation for saving one of the fans sister. Surprisingly, MiB is NOT impressed with the fans and basically tells them so in a harsh dialogue,”This is my f—ing vacation,” going on by threaten them, saying he would cut their throats.  

Apparently he doesn’t want anyone interfering with his game. 

It’s also suggested, MiB could have an insider who’s helping him to achieve his goals. In essence, there’s already a growing group of viewers suggestions stating the “Men in Black Theory”.  It will be interesting to see the outcome of the MiB. 

There’s also another theory. 

It’s possible an INSIDER of the Park is responsible for changing the robots goals, giving them their own consciousness. Could it be the illusive Arnold who (according to Dr Ford) is suppose to be dead? 

MiB Dialogue: “A man named Arnold was the original settler of these parts. He created a world where you can do anything you want, but you can’t die. No matter how real this world seems it’s still just a game. But then Arnold broke his own rule. He died right here in the park, except I believe he had one story left to tell. A story with real stakes, real violence. You could say I’m here to honor his legacy.” 

So my question : “Is Arnold really dead?” 

In case your not up on Arnold, he was a partners with Dr Ford (in the beginning ) creating Westworld. It appears (according to Dr Ford) Arnold became to emotionally close to his creations, as Dr Ford only relates the robots, simply as a tool or machine. We all know Dr Ford is extremely powerful in making the final decisions and warning  others not to stand in his way.

And finally, who’s this Wyatt? 

Is Wyatt the final goal to the puzzle? Is Wyatt somehow related to Arnold? Will the MiB gets his answers once he meets up with Wyatt.  Surprisingly enough, it’s Dr Ford who uploaded a new program about Wyatt into Teddy’s collective circuitry head of his.  

And on that note. 

Poor, poor Teddy Flood, the host who’s always in pursuit of Delores. Unfortunately he will never get his girl and always ends up either dead or prey lose to death.  

This being said, will Teddy one day get his revenge?  

The first season of HBO’s Westworld is going pretty strong and hopefully it will continue. Not like it’s counterpart, Beyond Westworld ( in 1980) who’s short-lived TV series was supposed to follow by the two great films, Westworld and Futureworld in 1976. 

Unfortunately for Beyond Westworld, it only lasted five episodes. Im excited for the new HBO’s Westworld and I dearly hope it doesn’t have the same fate. As we are headed into the five episode, it’s obvious we have surpass its counterpart Beyond Westworld.  

The new HBO Westworld is certainly going places and I’m so happy for that, as most science-fiction films don’t usually have a good record in the film industry. But with Star Wars, Star Trek, Aliens Trilogy, the Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain American and The Martian film, just maybe with the new millennials generation, there’s finally a new hope and drive towards SCIFI. 

One day I hope to see BLACK ANGELS as the next blockbuster science-fiction film.

Remembrance Day is just six days away. It’s a time to remember the brave souls who died for our freedom. Freedom has a price, only because mankind is selfish and blood thirsty for power.  
Remembering and never to forget, is very much like parents who have lost a child. Your memories over the years tend to become a ghostly presence of the past. But, as any grieving parent knows, we hold on dearly to our children’s memories, afraid they will fade away forever. 

Parents who have lost a child, are in club they never wanted to be apart of in the first place. 

Your life spirals out of control and you begin to hang on to hope. A hope that God and heaven are real, so one day you may be reunited with your loved ones. It’s like grasping onto a lottery ticket, hoping your numbers will finally be picked. But you know, the chances of seeing your child again are astronomically improbable.

So, what do parents do ? 

We remember. We remember the precious time we had with our loved ones. And so today, I would like to share that time with you. 

Jenni was just a baby before she died, but in that short time, she gave us a bundle of love I will never forget. As any proud father I would show her our world the best I could. Living in Calgary, Alberta at the time, working for an engineering design company (UMA) we were fortune enough to be close to the mountains. I would bundle up Jenni, like a mother kangaroo would do for her young joeys, and off we would go, exploring Banff, Lake Louise and parks throughout Calgary, including the Heritage Park Historical Village. 

It’s this memory that stuck with me throughout time. 

The Heritage Park Historical Village was the last good memory of Jenni. It will be a memory I will cherish forever, exploring together, as a family. 

I’ll never forget when Jenni was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Not only the fact, I would be a new father, but it was also the time, the nurses were on strike in Alberta. Heading to our closest hospital, the Misericordia, it wasn’t long we had to make another quick trip to the University Hospital because of the limited staff.

My wife having a baby was truly a big event, but never did I think a comical event would arise as well. To have a clear understanding of the situation, it’s important to understand, the University Hospital caters to students in the medical field. 

The delivery room was packed with interns, eager to learn and somewhat embarrassing for my wife, Patricia.  

There I was, all excited for the delivery of our first child, fully clothed in a interns smock, fashioned with the latest mask and booties. The nurse in charge had me sit at the head, so I wouldn’t get in the way of the doctor and my wife giving birth.  

It’s now 2:00 am.   

The paediatrician came in, giving his speech to the interns, when he noticed me. I am the only one sitting down. He barks,” What the hell do you think you ARE doing? Get up or get out!”

Tired and half a sleep, I jumped up, totally surprised by his misdemeanour.

The head nurse goes over and quietly speaks into the doctor’s ear. He gives an arrogant huffing sound, saying,” Well, everyone should be standing.”  

The room smirks with a soft laughter. Needless to say doctors are cranky this time of the morning. 

Jenni was born on April 23, 1980. A bundle of joy, as the interns clapped for the occasion.  

Getting the chance to hold Jenni, a precious little human being in my hands, was indeed a wonderful moment, one never forgets. 

We had but only a few precious months with Jenni, but it was a time of happiness which will stay with me forever.

On November 5, 1980 was the tragic day, Jenni past away from a rare strange disease, called,” Kawasaki disease”. It’s an illness that involves the lymph nodes for reasons unknown, effects children under the age of five years old. At the time, the diagnosis wasn’t clear to the countless doctors who visited Jenni’s hospital room, at the Foothills medical Centre. Two weeks in the hospital, test after test, no one could make clear of the diagnosis. Apparently, at this time, Kawasaki wasn’t understood, as it is today. Untreated, it can lead to serious complications that can affect the heart.  

And, unfortunately, that is exactly what happened. 

To this day, I believe every child deserves to see the world and live a full life. Each requires to be healthy, never going to bed hungry, have shelter & clothing and receive unconditional love. The saying, “Parents should never see their child die before them”, is so very true. 

Today, we are blessed with two daughters, Tianndra and Trisha, along with very precious grandchildren. Keep your children close to your hearts. Love them and be sure to say it as often as possible, because you never know what may happen in the future.

Patricia and I will always remember and never forget Jenni Michelle Demers.

UPDATE 2016 :  

During the fourth episode of the new TV Series Westworld by HBO, there’s a dialogue by Delores ( a robotic humanoid) who just lost her parents.  

She says” Pain. Their Loss… is all I have left of them. You think grieve would make you smaller and sad, like your heart will collapse in on itself, but it doesn’t…” 
Never did they know how close those very words are… so close to my heart .

Typical Day in our Future

OMG!  Today’s average temperature will increase to a palmy 20 degrees C ( 70 degrees F ).   The morning sun barely reaches the surface;  this is hardly anyway to soak up the warmth, for these old bones of mine!

My goodness, but last night certainly brought chills to my spine, reaching an all time low of minus 100 degrees C ( that’s minus 212 degrees F!) At least the surface was clear of those annoying dust devils, that have a habit of getting into everything! Dust storms are a regular occurrence here, but lucky for us these new suits protect well from the elements.

Thanks NASA!  

Horray for our maintenance team too ! They work feverishly to conserve our equipment, shelter and water. Their motto, “Prevention is always the Best Policy “.   Keeping up with good service requires less repair as a end result. But there are a few times throughout the years, our mechanical crew must completely replace components. 

It’s enviable.

Our dilemma right now, is how fast computers seem to fail on a regular basis. It’s got to the point we have a six year supply of backup electronic components, specifically sealed in their 3D bubble wrap containers. I mean, our whole system runs on some kind of mainstream computer component of some sort.  Even our High Range Rovers take a beating.   As of today, we have 20 Ranger Rovers (we like to call them our little Devil Dusters) out of commission, with some still stranded in the vast region of Valles Marineris. 

They certainly missed that one during their brainstorming – didn’t they ! 

No sarcasm here. Carrying on…

Did you know this Grand Canyon ( Valles Marineris) extends over 3000 km with 600 km across ?   It makes earth’s Grand Canyon not so grand…does it now!   It’s only a mere 800 km long and 30 km wide.  Talking about grand, who would thought the mechanic personnel were worth their  weight in gold.   Seriously, we sometimes think they’re more important then doctors up here.

Anyway – 

As I write my daily LOG, it should be noted we have a very special guest today. It’s been months in anticipation, gearing up for the VIP ceremony. Our official team of scientists are eager to greet the arrival of our founder Elon Musk.   I hear he doesn’t look his age, hitting the prime old age of 150 years.  Guessing from his latest holograms, you would think he was in his 30’s. It turns out, pumping 20 billion into his latest research enterprise, referred to as “Android Skeletons”, was indeed a prosperous venture.  

When I first heard of it, it was just rumours. 

Until a couple of years ago, we finally saw the latest satellite feed, Elon Musk officially introducing the futuristic model of “The SpaceX Android Skeleton” featuring Elon Musk himself, as the first ever participant. It all happened during an SpaceX media event in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California, United States on March 10 2062. Elon had appeared to have distance himself from the public for the past five years. Of course, media quickly referred him as the new Howard Hughes. Rumours had it, his health was failing. But, just like that, he appears as a younger model of himself inside his very own mainstream Android Skeleton.  

Skeptics said it could never be done! 

Did he ever prove them wrong. Here he stood, grabbing media by storm in his new Android Skeleton.  It’s been boasted, the SpaceX Android Skeleton will improve the quality of life while adding a smooth skin feature, women would die for.  But that’s not the kicker!   It’s said to extend life by 200 years – WOW! 

Did he ever fool the world! 

If there’s one thing people should realized about Elon Musk, his endeavours were never out of reach. His visions proved without-a -doubt SpaceX meant business, not to mention his automatic Hoover craft called, “Tesla V ” taking the world by storm. His original Tesla vehicle started off as a hands-free affordable car in the early years of 2003. In the beginning, Tesla Motors had some hiccups, but soon became the vehicle of choice. As matter of fact, competing automobile manufacturers were trying to catch up. Soon, he introduced the first ever functioning Tesla V, able to hoover 400 metres (1345 ft) above ground and arrive in remote regions on Earth within a few hours. 

Amazing! 

Today’s visit is not only about the visit of our founder, but it’s also to finally turn on the new prototypes, SPACEX TRANSFORMERS. Apparently back in 2020, there was an attempt to send an Mars instrument called Moxie turning the planet’s carbon dioxide into oxygen. The idea kind of worked, but was extremely slow. Of course Elon Musk had a better idea. He decided to transform all of Mars into a breathable planet within three years. It was comically named the Musk Destroyers, as there were over 30 weather satellites orbiting Mars. These high-tech machines are said to be able to change Mars atmosphere in three stages. 

• STAGE ONE : Increase Magnetosphere 
• STAGE TWO : Begin Producing Atmosphere 
• STAGE THREE : Raising the Temperature 

Each stage of transforming would finally make Mars into a hospitable environment for the human race, abling the green light to begin colonization.  

Frankly, it can’t come fast enough! 

My whole life has been geared for this very moment. Ever since my great grandfather, Bari Demers put this idea of space travel and colonizating other planets into my head.  He use to read me bedtime stories from his countless collection of science-fiction.   Sometimes I like to blame my great grandfather for placing me in this dust bowl.  But then again, it was his vision that steered the human race to get out and explore our space soon, before it was too late.   

His blog “Bennu Asteroid – Will it impact Earth?” was a wake up call ! 

Fortunately for all mankind, Bennu Asteroid is said to come within 8000 metres of Earth’s atmosphere on July 10, 2173, according to scientists able to pinpoint the asteroids path with our newer technology. As today is July 4th 2062 , we have over one hundred years to see if scientists are right after all. 

We shall see. 

Today’s event will indeed go down in record transcripts, as the most remarkable day in history, deeming itself as the day Elon Musk help transform Mars into a breathable planet, once more. It’s as rememberable as the time when Neil Armstrong was the first human to land on the moon, with those famous words, “That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” Not to mention female Astronaut, Alyssa Carson was the first person to set foot on Mars in Aug 5, 2033 through the help of the U.S. space agency, NASA and SpaceX . Apparently at age 13, Alyssa Carson had dreams of one day reaching Mars. As the space craft safety landed on Mars, she said, “Eagle Two has landed!” Stepping onto the surface of Mars, her famous words were ( mimicking Neil Armstrong legacy), ” That’s one small step forward for women and one giant leap for mankind.” 

Mankind had finally arrived on Mars. 

Six years earlier, Elon Musk and NASA had laid down the foundation by sending supplies, food, and comfortable habitats on Mars. Hell! They even sent machines to make water. Oh those were the days, weren’t they ? Who can remember the “Great Space Race” back then ? 

I’m just waiting for the day we can finally remove these space suits, see clouds and (oh yes) rain!  Oh how great to actually see it rain on Mars.  As we wait for Elon Musk to arrive, it’s hard not to marvel over the accomplishments of mankind. We’ve come so far establishing a foothold on Mars and maybe in the next 100 years, we will be able to venture out, colonizing on other M-Source Planets.  

You know, to come and think of it, it would be pretty cool to see a Mars Hilton up here too.

Storyboard Process for Indie Film Producers

The Storyboard process in any INDIE FILM is a smaller cost effective adventure in comparison to the big film production companies. We buy according to our budget. 

Here’s the complete layout of hiring work for Storyboards. 

The final presentation of our Storyboards showcasing illustrations of each scene are coloured A5 size (21x15cm / 6″ X 8″) format cards. They are typically ACTION scenes describing frame by frame of our film. 

The overall process is long for Indie Film Producers and Screenwriters.

In the beginning, filming of each scene we have the illustrator to draw us up smaller quick action scenes, just like you see with CELTX SHOTS ( an App by CELTX whose main purpose is providing us screenwriters screenwriting formats ). 

BUT, the final coloured cards are from 4-6 action scenes per ACT.

If you’re not familiar with screenplays or films, here’s an example of how it works, with ACTS 1 2 and 3.

With the final colourful illustration cards, we’ll use these for MARKETING and PROMOTION of our Film without giving away the full story. They are used to entice the viewer to share with their friends on social media. They are also used in the production film credits at the end of a film. A really good example is the movie RED or RED 2. At the end of their films they showcase the storyboard cards. 

The BIG GUYS like DC Comics, Paramount, Marvel Studios or Dreamworks Studio (DreamWorks began in 1994 by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen), get the option to have a large staff of full time illustration employees. 

WE, (the smaller guy) don’t have the funds, as our projects ( even though it still takes the same kind of effort to do one film) are independently run. Which means we are strapped for funds. That said, we pay “Quick Sketches” of storyboards frames by a group of 10-20 depending. These quick storyboards are NOT coloured and simple but dynamic sketches. To put it into better prospective, a film can have as many as 110 scenes. 

INDIE FILM PRODUCERS ( aka screenwriters – we wear many hats!) pay for greyscale or b/w, A5 size (21x15cm / 6″ X 8″) from $10 to $20 per Storyboard. 

Professional Storyboard Illustrators ask from $45 – $110 per board, plus a $300 Starter Fee.  

For us Indie Film Producers (where funding is extremely tight) we can’t afford these kind of prices. Some will even ask for traveling time and so on. SO – we either do it ourselves or look for up and coming new illustrators, eager to showcase their art and get paid.  

There are three stages of artwork that each have a different pay scale. 

STAGE ONE – The Quick Sketch Storyboards 

In QUICK Storyboards requiring a quick sketch of each scene we break it down into 10 frames. WE group Storyboards into 10 frames with 30 frames per ACT. Remember there’s ACT ONE, ACT TWO and ACT THREE. Overall,( in a 90 page screenplay) that’s 90 plus storyboards.  

Each 10 frame Storyboard is $100 CA. We’re talking about quick pencil (preferably ink) sketches. Each sketch should take only 15 minutes to produce for any good illustrator. $10 for 15 minutes work is really not that bad of payment. On an hourly wage, that would $60 per hour. Four frames per hour is (in my opinion) fair for new upcoming illustrators. 

In STAGE ONE we don’t do Crowdfunding. And our timeline is a lot more relax then the BIG BOYS.  

STAGE TWO – The Coloured Cards

The coloured cards are much more elaborate, (requiring sometime to produce a creative artist piece ) used for PROMOTIONS of our INDIE FILM. Because of the time factor we expect to pay $100 – $120 CA per COLOURED CARD.  

Every detail is important in these promotional cards. 

In STAGE TWO we do require Crowdfunding sources. But, of course, we proceed with the crowdfunding first and then hire our prospective illustration artist. We usually work with the same illustrator who spent the time doing our quick sketches, unless during the STAGE ONE process we found the artist to be difficult to work with. 

Trust me when I say, I have personally fired a couple. 

In this business, an artist can NOT be arrogant or have any kind of attitude. They must be able to work within the guidelines of FILM PRODUCERS. In any filming process, it’s SO IMPORTANT we all work together (without any headaches) with a general goal of producing the best film ever. We require ACTORS, ILLUSTRATOR and CAMERA CREW (Remember the many hats ? Each camera crew will also set up rigging too. We are not the BIG BOYS) who are all easy to get along with. 

STAGE THREE – The Storyboard Film Book

In this stage, we are committed to producing the most colourful Storyboard Film Book for purchase after the film has been released. It’s imperative the coffee-table Storyboard Film Book is ready for purchasing on-line as our film is released in, lets say at SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL. 

The cost per coloured illustration can be from $125 – $500 US per 8 X 11 format with the quick sketches within from $45 – $80 US ( all these smaller sketches must be inked format). The full cost of producing the Storyboard Film Book can be from $10,000 – $18,000 US.  

We like to sell each book around $45 each.

STAGE THREE of producing a Storyboard Film Book is only if we feel it will add to the hype to our film. In other words, if we already have 100,000 fans waiting for our film to be released. 

IN CONCLUSION 

Making a film along with Storyboards require the artist sign a wavier to make sure he or she keeps our project in complete secrecy. They can NOT show their friends and family or can they freely talk about the ongoing filming project.  

Essential, IT IS TOP SECRET.   

Can you imagine social media talking about the whole storyline of your film ? It would surely be a disaster! Like all Film Producers we keep everything under wraps until we release our film in a popular film festival.

• FIRST STAGE : Produce the Final Draft Screenplay – DONE !

Final convection : If anyone is asking an artist illustrator to produce illustrations for free through a contest or whatever, then it’s certainly a scam. As a screenwriter for smaller INDIE FILMS we buy illustrations for our storyboards.

Welcome to Earth

I run and own Facebooks Page Vegas Reviews. With the last Presidential debate in Las Vegas, it was hard not to say anything. After all I like to write, be it science fiction stories or my opinions in our world today.  

This is why I named my WordPress blog DREAMS AND REALITY. 

The DREAMS are from my prospective of our future mixed with science-fiction and fantasy. In comparison, the REALITY points out the integration of our society and will usually point out a warning in our near future. If we keep on the same path of destruction, mankind’s future may turn out to be a blink one.

With the Americans about to pick their 45th President of the United States, it brings up the welfare of humanity and what it’s striving for. There are over 350 million people in the United States. In comparison to India, this is only one third of their population. But the same concerns are still there, be it only 35 million in Canada, to over one and half billion people in China. Can the world sustain such a growing population ? Our world resources are quickly being gobbled up by an alarming rate, while damaging Earth, itself. The environment will eventually collapse under the stress of human beings interaction. 

Our future on Earth looks frightening blink, to say the least.

Right now Americans are worried and have good reason. They’re not only concerned about United States and where it will be in their near future, families are worried for their children and grandchildren. What kind of life will they endure after our generation are long gone? They will have to pickup the pieces we so willingly destroyed, due to carelessly or greed. 

Picking a leader, not only means someone with a good head on their shoulders, but also capable of answering the needs of its people. We all hope the thin imaginary walls ( if Trump gets in, these walls won’t be imaginary) are impervious to any kind of threat. The election will hopefully put in a strong leader, who really means to make a difference. 

I think what Americans ( like the rest of the sane world) are most worried about is : 

• Their families are safe from harm.
• Each family have strong sustainable jobs with a comfortable income to ensure their kids and grandkids are able to live in a free world, safe and secure.  
• Education is assessable to everyone, no matter what your financial status is. 
• Americans don’t want to see the world financial market crumbling at their doorstep. In other words, a strong economy with American made products available throughout each industry.  
• It’s also important that whatever job they do, they enjoy that job so much, it no longer seems like work. So, in other words, education strives towards what they LOVE to do.  
• An Agricultural equation where food and water is available to everyone.  
• A strong push for reusable resources, without destroying our environment.  
• The opportunity for families to enjoy life to the fullest with worrying where their next meal is coming from. The health and welfare of their families is number one.
• And America’s Space Program should begin exploration as never before. It’s to ensure the safety and future of all humanity.  

With that said, whatever happens on November 8 2016 – May the BEST candidate WIN! wink wink 😉 😉 

It will be the 58th quadrennial U.S. presidential election and the 45th President of the United States. To see the first woman President in office, would indeed make history, leading America into a new age away from the discrimination of women, colour or race. A Nation growing for a better tomorrow.

WESTWORLD WORLDLY QUIRKS – EPISODE TWO

Warning: My narrative description of HBO’s TV SERIES WESTWORLD may outline spoilers for the first two episodes.

You’ll find I’m breaking down the TV Series WESTWORLD within my thoughts, describing the scenes through each ACT, giving my  idea of possible CLUES (or hints) of the storyline. It’s my own personal perception of the science-fiction fantasy WESTWORLD on HBO. 

YOU CAN JOIN me by discussing your point-of-view of where you think the storyline is headed and maybe you know of a clue I missed.  This exercise is for everyone interested in science fiction, script writing or your interest in the new TV Series WESTWORLD.

Let’s continue with Episode 2 – CHESTNUT  

TEASER : 

Delores is awaken by the instructions of Bernard’s voice,” Wake up Delores.” She begins to sleepwalk outside in her yard.  

Bernard’s voice whispers, ” Do you remember?”

ACT ONE : 

A couple of NEWCOMERS come into WESTWORLD showcasing the Entertainment Park’s entrance, for the clients.  They are each met by a host who escorts them to their prospective room. In this room they decide to pick who they want to portrait, a good or bad person.

LOGAN (Ben Barnes) and WILLIAM (Jimmi Simpson) enter, with LOGAN as a repeat customer.  

LOGAN basically screws his way from one host to another as WILLIAM is looking to interact with the hosts.  

CUT TO : 

Once again we meet character ELSIE HUGHS (Shannon Woodward) who we know is a PROGRAMMER resetting or reprogramming the ANDROIDS.  

In this ACT we learn ELISE is quite concerned that possibly PETER ABERNATHY ( Louis Herthum ) Dolores’ father, has most likely corrupt DELORES program. 

You sense her concerns are valid. 

She wants to recall Delores, but it’s here that Bernard becomes on the offensive, stating that Delores has been cleared and maybe the stories should be best left to the guests. 

Elise is taken back from his response.

ACT TWO : 

We perceive Dolores is changing, as a FLASHBACK reveals a past massacre in the town of Sweetwater. As we have already met MAEVE MILLAY ( Thandie Newton) in the first episode, we already know she’s a HOST MADAME for the busy Saloon.  She meets up with Dolores, breaking her out of the slumbering flashback.  

It’s here Delores whispers, “…these violent delights have violent ends.” 

Maeve is taken back from the response.

CUT TO NEXT SCENE: 

We meet up with the MAN IN BLACK again.  He’s getting closer to his goal, when he meets up with an OUTLAW HOST, known as his old friend LAWRENCE (played by Clifton Collins Jr.).   The MAN IN BLACK saves Lawrence from a hanging, killing all the other hosts, in doing so.  

Lawrence has no recollection of this stranger.  

CUT TO : 

After Maeve’s encounter with Delores, Maeve begins to see things ( a flashback).  It’s evident Maeve has been effected. 

CUT TO NEXT SCENE : 

Bernard secretly questions Delores 

Bernard brings Delores back-on-line asking her if she remembers their last conversation. 

Here’s their DIALOGUE :

DELORES : Yes. Of course.
BERNARD : And you haven’t told anyone about our little talks?”
DELORES: “You told me not to.” 
BERNARD: ” Step into annalist please… How many interactions have you participated in since we last talked?”
DELORES : ” 138 encounters including this one.” 
BERNARD : ” And has anyone altered or updated your core logistics in that time?” 
DELORES : ” No.” 
BERNARD : “Resuming…I think it would be best if you not mention the things we’ve been talking about.”
DELORES: “Have I done something wrong?” 
BERNARD: “No. There’s something different about you, about the way you think. I find it fascinating but…others may not see it that way.”
DELORES: “Have YOU done something wrong?” 

Bernard is concerned of what she just said. He’s basically paranoid, thinking someone or something is meddling with her program. 

BERNARD: “Turn off your vent log please, erase this interaction. Confirm.” 
DELORES: “Yes.”

He tells Delores that she better get back before someone misses her.

ACT FOUR : 

The menacing MAN IN BLACK keeps moving forward towards his quest. So far his brutality of the HOSTS are evident. It raises concerns with a security personnel, who reports the MAN IN BLACK to his superior, ASHLEY STUBBS (played by Luke Hemsworth) whose head of security for WESTWORLD.  

Without lifting an eyebrow, ASHLEY says, “That gentleman gets whatever he wants.” 

The MAN IN BLACK, with 30 years under his belt of vacationing time at WESTWORLD, allows him whatever he wants. Who cares if he’s slaughtering every host he meets. We get the picture the MAN IN BLACK has spent approximately (basing on a 10 day vacation) $400,000 each year for the last 30 years.  

That’s 12 million dollars! 

I guess he can do pretty much what he wants to do…or does he?   Sounds like a Donald Trump.  Maybe there’s a message here? 

ANYWAY – 

The MAN IN BLACK is getting closer to his goal, as he threatens Lawrence and his family. After the MAN IN BLACK eliminates the OUTLAW BANDITS and kills his wife, he points the gun at his young daughter.

It’s then, the daughter HOST reveals the entrance to part of the MAZE, saying,”Follow the blood arroyo to the place where the snake lays its eggs.”

The MAN IN BLACK knows he’s on the right track. 

Lawerence tells the MAN IN BLACK he has what he came for…now go home.

MAN IN BLACK : No, you don’t understand Lawerence. This time I’m never going back.” 

CUT TO NEXT SCENE : 

DR FORD heads up from the underground LAB to the Story Setting of the WESTERN DESERT. He has a quaint talk with a HOST portrayed as his younger self.  It’s here he reveals a small glimpse of his secret project.  

As the VIEWER, your curiosity takes hold. 

ACT FIVE : 

This verbal CODE offsets MAEVE to the point she suddenly awakens during a routine surgery in the LAB. She startles two robotics engineers as they preform a routine surgery on her.  

A chaotic scene develops, where she runs away within the other parts of the LAB.

She can’t believe what she’s seeing, as she notices other HOSTS in compromising screwed-up pieces. The engineers finally catch up, sedating her. One of the engineers thinks he forgot to turn off the android, but in reality, you know that’s not true. They both cover each other’s actions, saying,” Don’t speak a word of this!” 

CUT TO :  

We are back with Delores being awakened. She finds a gun buried on her property. Next morning she discovers the gun in her chest-of-drawers. She sort of remembers, thinking last night was just a dream. Except the gun is real. She’s confused and places the gun back in the drawer.

NEXT SCENE : 

There’s a big presentation by dialogue script writer MR LEE SIZEMORE.  LEE is just waiting for DR FORD to acknowledge his artistic storyline ODYSSEY ON RED RIVER, but to his dismay DR FORD says (point blank) “NO!” 

He describes LEE’S narrative as a cheap titillation underestimating the guests. 

Dr Ford explains to Lee there’s more to a GUEST then meeting up with a HOST. It’s the connection. 

DR FORD : “There not looking for a story who tells them who they are. They already know who they are. They’re here because they want a glimpse of who they could be.” 

FADE TO : 

During DELORES regular script routine, she heads across town after her daily shopping. She places her bought items into the pack on the horse, and like clockwork, a can of sweet condensed milk drops to the ground. This routine is her typical script, where she either interacts with the NEWCOMERS or another HOST, preferable interacting with TEDDY. 

Teddy script is to interact with Delores on a regular basis, trying his best to look after her the best he can. Unfortunately he gets killed a lot of the time.

So this time she meets up with William.  William feels a connection. 

In the background Dr Ford says,” The only thing your story tells me, Mr. Sizemore…is who you are.” 

Mr. Sizemore asks him, ” Wasn’t there anything you liked about them?” 

In turn, Dr Ford points at the boots on one of the host and asks,” What size are those boots?” 

CUT TO NEXT SCENE : 

Bernard and Dr Ford are back in the desert. Bernard let’s Dr Ford know the board members are getting impatient and were promised a new storyline soon. 

Dr Ford says,” They shall have one. Something I’ve been working on for sometime. Something quite ORIGINAL.” 

SECOND EPISODE CLUES OR HINTS :

1. Dolores and Maeve have both been effected by the verbal CODE. This may mean serious percussions in the near future. 
2. Bernard is having secret meetings with Dolores, but in this episode you are unclear of his motive.
3. You get to really understand  just how different Ford and Bernard’s perspectives are when it comes to the hosts, with Bernard having an underlying emotional connection he can’t break, while Ford is much more detached.
4. You sense the employees are stressed out. It could be long hours and away from their family. But when a problem arises, each department passes it along to the next. No one seems to be taking responsibility. 
5. We know the MAN IN BLACK isn’t ever going back home…but why?  Where exactly are they ???   Another planet maybe ?  Does he have a deadly disease and is he dying ? Maybe the MAN IN BLACK wants a new body, like an Androids body, that will last him forever. Is that why the MAN IN BLACK is so focused in finding the MAZE ? 
6. Dr Ford is planning something in the desert of interest, but you aren’t sure what that is, as of yet. Could it possibly be another THEME ? 

The Androids are becoming conscious, meaning they are starting to remember their past activities and the cruelty of its creator, using them for the mere enjoyment of the wealthy few. I smell a revolution soon #WESTWORLD

WESTWORLD WORLDLY QUIRKS – EPISODE ONE

Warning: My narrative description of HBO’s TV SERIES WESTWORLD may outline spoilers for the first two episodes. 

PRELIMINARY  INTRODUCTION 

My introduction of WESTWORLD is through the eyes of a screenwriter, concentrating on plots, sub-plots and dialogue related to the Acts, the Establishment, the set-up, the inciting incident, contemplation, turning point, acceleration, obstacles and raising the stakes to a crisis. 

Unlike a film, TV series have a progression of ACTS, each broken by a commercial. TV series begin with a TEASER, and then follows up with ACT 1 to 5, giving the latter some kind of CLIFF HANGER or possible CLOSURE. 

ABOUT WESTWORLD: 

Westworld is a Recreational Adult Park strictly for the wealthy few, who can afford $40,000 per day. The rich guests get to interact with humanoid robots, in order to enrich their lives. 

Having watched the original movie back in 1973 I already expect something pretty extraordinary, to say the least.

Let’s begin – 

FIRST EPISODE: THE ORIGINAL ( the pilot) 

The TEASER gives you a glimpse of what’s about to come. The credits introduces executive producer Johnathan Nolan along with Lisa Joy, J. J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk.  

THE ESTABLISHMENT – ACT ONE 

In the First Episode we meet some of the NEWCOMERS ( the rich clients) and HOSTS ( humanoid robots) of the recreational Adult Park called Westworld.  

We immediately get a feel for the old western town of SWEETWATER, where the action begins.

We are introduced to TEDDY (James Marsden) and DELORES ( Evan Rachel Wood).  It’s hard not to become attached to the both of them. Right away, I begin to feel sorry for the robots designed to please its guests (NEWCOMERS). 

You meet THERASA CULLEN ( Sidse Babett Knudsen) the WESTWORLD Park acting CEO Operations Director. She coordinates everything in the park, making sure the guests are handle properly, the staff do their job and reports directly to DR FORD and the shareholders. 

You also meet (ironically) MR LEE SIZEMORE (Simon Quarterman) a director for the script and storyline, giving direction to the HOSTS. His character is arrogant and, his interaction with fellow employees is very abusive. You can tell he’s conceded, just waiting for recognition for his creativity. (Right away, I find his character annoying) 

ACT TWO : THE SET-UP – It’s not long and we are also introduced to the creator DR. FORD (Anthony Hopkins) and counterpart BERNARD (Jeffrey Wright ). 

We get a feel for behind-the-scenes, introducing how they manufacture the robots.

There’s a hint, that these two prominent Robotics scientists react differently to the Androids. 

We get this feeling that Bernard has an emotional view of the Androids, most specially, DELORES ( the oldest robot ). Even though he feels compassion, he doesn’t want Dr Ford to catch wind of his feelings, as his last partner didn’t last very long ( Episode 3). In fact, he died – interesting! 

In comparison, Dr Ford has no emotional ties to his creations, using them only as instruments in his overall experiment. But, in the same breathe, you respect Dr Ford. ( Who doesn’t highly admire and respect Anthony Hopkins!) 

ACT THREE : THE INCITING INCIDENT – Within 20 minutes of the show you quickly realize there’s a serious problem with Two HOSTS.  

Both of them seem to have gone haywire.  

The first one I like to refer as the MILK BANDIT, because he drinks and pours a bottle of milk on his victims. The other HOST is PETER ABERNATHY ( Louis Herthum ) Dolores’ father, (referred to as daddy) goes astray by inadvertently accessing a different code after discovering a photo hundreds of years ahead of the western timeline. 
Stuck on the photo, it triggers his program changing it by a verbal code, saying “…violent delights have violent ends.”

ACT FOUR and FIVE : This CODE forces Bernard and Dr Ford to have another look at Delores daddy. They learn the CODE may have deadly consequences, when host Peter Abernathy threatens Dr Ford by quoting Shakespeare and vowing revenge upon his creator. They decide it’s best to decommission PETER ABERNATHY, as well as the MILK BANDIT. 

You can tell something is bothering Bernard. Dr Ford has patiently taught Bernard his craft, from development and intellectual standards, to the full operation of the HOSTS (aka ANDROIDS).   

The dialogue is cleverly like reading Shakespeare:  

BERNARD “You taught me how to make them , but not how hard it is to turn them off.” 

DR FORD ” You can’t play God without being aquatinted with the devil.” 

Bernard feels there’s an outside interference in regards to the hosts gone astray. It doesn’t seem feasible a photo would be the cause for a host to go off script. He thinks it could be some sort of conspiracy, possibly sabotage.

DR FORD ” The problem Bernard, is that you and I do…is SO complicated. We practice witchcraft…we speak the right words and we create life itself…out of chaos.”

PART OF ACT THREE AND ACT FIVE (SUBPLOT) : THE MENACING MAN IN BLACK AND HIS QUEST

We meet the MAN IN BLACK (a wealthy client) whose on a quest (played by Ed Harris) seeking the secret level of the game, somewhere hidden within the deepest level of the MAZE. You know he’s been in WESTWORLD a few hundred times. His dark goals feverishly uses HOSTS in anyway he pleases (from mass killings to raping) to find the answers to his quest. 

FIRST EPISODE CLUES OR HINTS : 

1. BERNARD finds errors (MISTAKES) in DR FORD reverie code, giving HOSTS subconscious access to past DARK memories.
2. The MAN IN BLACK is trying to access the secret hidden GAME
3. DELORES tells BERNARD she wouldn’t hurt any living thing, but at the end she casually kills a fly. 

EPISODE ONE is indeed off to a good start. Let’s continue with EPISODE TWO.

Armageddon is closer then you think

ALERT 🚨 This just in!  

We have 1 billions years before the Sun’s slow expansion will cause the temperature at the surface of the Earth to rise.  According to BIG THINK : 

• Oceans will evaporate, and the atmosphere will become laden with water vapor, which (like carbon dioxide) is a very effective greenhouse gas. 
• The oceans will boil dry and the water vapour will escape into space. 
• In a billion years from now the Earth will be a very hot, dry and uninhabitable.

Theoretical Physicist Stephen Hawking urges everyone to realize, it’s time to free ourselves from Mother Earth.

STEPHEN HAWKING: 

“I believe that the long-term future of the human race must be in space. It will be difficult enough to avoid disaster on planet Earth in the next hundred years, let alone the next thousand, or million. The human race shouldn’t have all its eggs in one basket, or on one planet. Let’s hope we can avoid dropping the basket until we have spread the load.”

BUT WAIT! 

Armageddon is closer then you think. According to Stephen Hawking, we actually have between 100 years to the next 1000 years, before a nearby supernova, an asteroid, or a black hole will do us in. 

AND – 

It’s already noted, there’s a Black Hole only 1600 light years from earth. In light year standards, that’s practically in our backyard. At first, scientist believed that the nearest black hole to Earth was the one at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. But recently they have discovered a new BLACK HOLE known as a micro quasar. It’s named V4641 Sgr and it was located in the Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way. When it was first discovered in 1999 they had thought it was another star. However, upon closer observation, it was noticed its brightness is six times greater than when first observed through radio telescopes. It’s now confirmed to be a closer BLACK HOLE only 1600 light years away from Earth 🌏.

BUT – 

There’s hope for mankind after all.  

Our Earth is 4.2 light years from Proxima Centauri. Once scientists figure out ( and they are working on the problem right now) how to make a space engine travel at the speed of light, so we can be in Proxima Centauri in 4.2 years.

AND – 

There is other good news. Mars can be inhabited within the next 25 years, if we push all our efforts into it right NOW! Also, as said, the nearest M class planet to Earth is within reach, our neighbour Proxima Centauri. If we spend all our time getting mankind to other planets before our time runs out ( bad case scenario, 100 💯 years ) it’s possible we may save the human race. 

Otherwise, we WILL be another statistic, just like the Dinosaurs.  

THE BAD NEWS : 

Not all of mankind we be saved. It’s predicted the wealthy and the prominent few will survive on other planets, considering the fact they don’t waste their time with ridiculous efforts on politics.  

As far as you or me ? 

Well, I’m sorry, we’re OUT-OF-LUCK.  

In other words, our grandchildren may see the end of civilization as we know it.

Today I will discuss my character layout for Karen Jefferson for my screenplay BLACK ANGELS – The Movie. Recently I wrote about my character outline for Commander Cardin and Priestesses Isis. 

CORPORAL KAREN JEFFERSON

Karen is a Geological Science Officer assigned to Starship SIRUS-S757 under the command of Chief Mission Commander Cardin Mason. Karen and Cardin are in a relationship, with Cardin thinking of settling down with Karen, after this last vital mission on Earth.

But, if it’s up to King Osiris, their marriage won’t take place, because Karen’s bloodline is not of royal decent. If it’s up to King Osiris, he would have Karen to himself, like her mother before her( as rumours have stated). 

Karen’s family comes from a long line of what they referred to as DREAMERS. 

Dreamers are those who have the ability to enter someone else’s dreams without them knowing. Doing so can give them the option to change ones thoughts or actions. They are also enticing, provocative and can easily attract both sexes. 

In her mid twenties* Karen would carelessly flaunt herself, attracting men or women of wealth or stature, even though it’s forbidden by the ELDERS OF DREAMERS. Even though DREAMERS can enter someone else’s dreams, it’s taboo to use this form of power for selfish reasons. DREAMERS are used in certain circumstances, to help the king or in the times of war, against their enemies. Karen is too proud and will do as she wishes, with or without the elders consent. 

Karen is spoiled, with riches from her family. Her father, Torus is a prestigious Five-Star General in the Royal Emperor of Guards. King Osiris** relies on General Torus Jefferson for his high regard for the SIRIAN PEOPLE. As a Dreamer, his input is valuable, as is his keen interest in helping out as much as possible. General Torus loves to talk and is the centre of attention. His daughter Karen is his only child, so it’s understandable why she is spoiled. Karen’s mother died in a freak accident while visiting a neighbouring planet. Her death is still an “Open-Case File” with rumours, King Osiris may have been responsible. 

Since her earlier life experiences with men and women relationships, Karen has grown a little more responsible (now in her thirties*) following heads-over-heels in love with Commander Cardin. Their flirtatious courting is quite comical from an outsiders point-of-view. 

Karen Jefferson is intelligent and quick on her feet. She became a flight pilot officer by the time she was 21. 

Her skills as a Geologist and a Flight Pilot became a useful asset to King Osiris, as he needed someone to find the RED CRYSTAL. Besides, the king is secretly attracted to Karen. Karen is unaware of the King’s intentions. As far as she’s concerned, her luck has struck gold. Having the king interested in her wellbeing is an honour. 

CHARACTER OUTLINE FOR KAREN JEFFERSON 

• Karen is in her 30’s*, sexy brunette with green eyes and considered a health nut. 8 stone (118 lbs or 53.6 kg) 5′- 8″ tall 
• She can be stubborn and pretentious and won’t let anyone stand in her way, be it success or her man. 
• Her ego is on a scale of 10. 
•  She enjoys flaunting her good looks and body, for all to see. 
• It’s not like her to be with one man for very long, but she can’t resist the “bad boy” attitude of Commander Cardin. 
•  Once she’s hooked onto her partner of choice, it’s best to stay out of her way, if you know what I mean.  
• She’s bi and had past relationships with both men and women.
• Her military skills are above the rest, excelling in martial arts, the art of knife throwing and master of automatic weapons. 
• Her flying skills are considered reckless, but other men refer her to as a “Dare Devil”. Her nickname stuck as “”Sexy Rexy”.
• Karen can be the jealous type, sometimes seeing or read things that aren’t there. It’s best not to piss her off, as she will take a stand and fight, if need be. 
• On a professional standing, Karen enjoys her work as a Geologist and loves to fly. 
• Men are easily controlled by Karen, but not so much with women.  
• Most women think Karen as conceded and a gold-digger. Unless, there’s a woman that’s attracted to her. 
• She doesn’t like children, thinking of them only as a nuisance. Even though, the SIRIAN PEOPLE highly valued their children and consider them as rebirths of THE GODS OF SIRIUS. 

Overall, the character of KAREN JEFFERSON is egotistical, arrogant and self absorbed. Even with her high intelligence, its all about KAREN and her goals in life. Anyone in her way – watch out!

**The age of the SIRIAN RACE in Earth years is 3X. For example: 30 years old X 4 = 120 years in Earth years. Their lifespan is 4 X greater then the average Homo-Sapiens. 

* King Osiris is your common political King, only concerned with his own self worth and riches. He pretends to care about his people, but in fact, he cares very little about them. King Osiris has the “me-me-me” syndrome, always concerned for his wealth and stature. On the outside he seems concerned for your health and welfare, but underneath lies an arrogant self-centred Sirian God, referred to as THE GODS OF SIRUS. 

Meeting William Shatner

My daughter Tianndra had the most wonderful dream that I just had to share with you – lol. 

It goes like this : 

“I had a dream that you were coming over for Thanksgiving dinner and I was supposed to pick you up from the airport. But a friend stopped by and we started drinking so I forgot. So then this big van pulled up in our driveway driven by William Shatner and he dropped you off.”  [AWESOMENESS!  William Shatner ( my buddy and friend) gave me a ride from the airport, not to mention he’s in my hometown – LOL. ]

Tianndra continues: 

“Then I forgot to defrost the turkey but by the time we got it defrosted it was 10 at night so we couldn’t have turkey dinner. Lol. But you (that’s me) were so happy because you got to drive with William Shatner – lol.

That’s all I remember from that dream. Hahaha…”

I love it! Now for that dream to become true 😎 Thank you Tianndra for sharing such an awesome dream. 

Can you imagine if that happened?  

My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter had the privilege to meet William Shatner during last year’s Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas, taking a photo shoot, as you see above.  I love my granddaughter’s expression 🙄
