Obi-Wan – The Character

Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor played a young Obi-Wan in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

Recently there were rumours whether he would be in the next Star Wars movie with the Walt Disney Company. As you already know, Walt Disney purchased Lucas Films by George Lucas for a whopping $4.05 billion in 2012. We are also aware of well respected J.J. Abrams taking over as director for the new Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens opening day in December 2015. Talk about exciting!

The interview…

Ewan McGregor just had a quick interview with MTV in regards to those rumours. Of course, we all know the legendary Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi died but then became a ghost, so it wouldn’t work for Ewan McGregor to come back as Obi-Wan.

But…

As a screenwriter, my sci-fi mind is always figuring out plots and angles to add twists to a story. Just because I enjoy the profession acting of Ewan McGregor, I thought of a way to bring Ewan McGregor back into Disney’s Star Wars Episodes.

Now…

As any Star Wars fan already knows, Obi-Wan Kenobi was born on Homeworld, Stewjon within the Stewjon system. He also had a brother named Owen Lars, but…

Imagine this…

Unknown to Obi-Wan, his mother had a twin-brother, who was stollen at birth by Dark Force alliance, Darth Talon (a female Lethan Twi’lek). Darth Talon could never have children, so she secretly stole the twin brother by clouding Obi-Wan Kenobi’s mother thoughts, using the DARK FORCE. The evil Darth Talon named the twin, Darth Jobel, training him into the Dark Side.

Obi-Wan has always felt he had a twin brother, but his mother denied it, because to her, the twin never existed. But throughout Obi-Wan’s life he could feel the force of his twin brother.

During Obi-Wan’s earlier years under his master, Jedi apprentice Qui-Gon Jinn, they adventured into the Quelii sector, from sketchy reports about a possible DARK FORCE ALLIANCE.

They came upon an obscure planet, Dathomir, in the Outer Rim Territories. It was here, Obi-Wan’s FORCE of his twin brother was strong, but once again his presence evaded them. Obi-Wan was troubled by the strong presence of the Dark Force. Could it be, his twin brother was part of the Dark Force?

And the story goes…

So, as you see there’s a new character for Ewan McGregor after all. Only, this time, as his twin brother, Darth Jobel. Will Darth Jobel turn to the GOOD SIDE, only a new STAR WARS EPISODE will you know.

As Yoda would say,” Do or do not. There is no try.”
