The Great Canadian Divide

The Great Canadian Divide

Personally I’ve become more and more disgruntled with our Canadian government and where it’s leading us. In 2019, Canadians will once again vote for their prospective government.

Recently on Twitter I noticed the Conservative Party making some serious errors, not realizing Canadians are more consciously informed. It looks like their following ‘Trumps Fake News Campaign’ which will fail miserably, if they keep it up. Seriously, I don’t want to see another four years of a Trudeau government. If re-elected, Trudeau’s government will be vindicated, causing an historical record-breaking deficit of nearly $1.5 Trillion dollars, casting doubt to our Canadian heritage, plaguing us with his crazy Carbon Tax, having an almost open-border policy and completely crippling our economy.

It will most certainly become “The Great Canadian Divide” forcing Canadians against Canadians. Trudeau’s liberal dictatorship is passing law after law to make it against-the-law to speak against his idealism, where the Canadian culture is slowly beginning to crush under pressure of offended minority’s. It won’t be long before “the conservative voice” will become the minority, stating it’s “un-Canadian” including outlandish language, such as “peoplekind” instead of mankind.

Truly, it’s becoming Hell-on-Earth.

There’s NO way Liberals and Conservatives will ever agree, simply because of these two statements:

Liberal’s : “Nobody from any non-western minority group is offended or even complaining. It’s always a certain cast of WHITE people member of the PC brigade that push these kinds of idiocies.”

Conservative: “Coun. Ben Isitt recently suggested the city shouldn’t be doing things like lighting up a tree in Centennial Square as it is “too religious”.

Religion is supposed to be our constitutional right, for all Canadian citizens.

So no – we’re not being paranoid or is this about “white” or “privileged”. It’s always a cast of “Liberals” who close their eyes to the obvious.”

Read more :

Canadians against Canadians – It’s inevitable.

What this means, each diverse group of Canadians will stick closely with their own. In open public, most will keep tight-lipped ignoring each other. It means Canada will no longer be a country as a whole, but a mix-mash of segregated groups. Each group will be offended by the other. It means complete “Chaos”.

We must keep to the FACTS :

Alberta & Saskatchewan have both contributed to Canada’s economy greatly (in the last four decades) 🇨🇦. Both provinces were the main engine behind the distribution of “equalization payments” to provinces, such as Quebec.

Quebec and four provinces will receive equalization payments next year (2019) : $2.3 billion Manitoba, $2 billion New Brunswick & Nova Scotia. $419 million for Prince Edward Island. Alberta, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland and Labrador are all currently running budget deficits.

What does @RachelNotley @JustinTrudeau say to the above problem?

Rachael Notley has become more aware of the Federal bureaucrats system of advocates. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is ignoring Rachael’s requests, due to the fact, the federal government bought a $4.5 billion dollar pipeline plagued with tons of legal red-tape.

It literally has become the ‘White Elephant’ in the room.

Now Alberta and Saskatchewan are struggling. Maybe we should get equalization payments too? Unlikely. Such a request would turn Canada into a social crisis ; which province has any money left ?

As a country, Canadians need to be informed with real facts and become truly educated, in regards to our Pipeline, Canada’s future and more about our future resources. You can’t deny the facts. I believe Canadians are intelligent enough to make a sound clear judgement without all the hate mongers from social media. Most Canadians are level-headed individuals.

We must tackle issues on our plate :

Issues like Carbon Tax. Without -a-doubt, it’s a “cash cow”, designed to become a burden upon us all. It sounds good, but it’s the liberal operation of generating income by means of taxes. We shouldn’t be trying to impress the world. If you want to look at the statistics, Canada is far lower in admissions then China or Russia, for example.

Fact : China emits more CO2 than the US and Canada put together – up by 171% since the year 2000. Read more…

Issues, like unemployment : Instead of giving off false records of unemployment dropping, maybe they should begin to look at the Canadians now off of ‘Employment Insurance’ and precariously a step away from homelessness.

In the beginning I thought Trudeau might be the answer to a new approach…however—

We are enlightened to his drastic costly mistakes and worldwide embarrassment. Trudeau has successfully divided Canadians with rising debt (hitting a trillion dollars) ,allowing almost open-borders & fearing us to believe (if we’re NOT with Trudeau) we are considered “un-Canadian”. His words ! Not mine.

It’s also insane Canada 🇨🇦 is buying oil from Saudi Arabia at $400 million per month. Shouldn’t we be more self-sufficient ?

To top it off (personally) I have lost $35,000 due to the actions of Trudeau. Businesses are running from Canada 🇨🇦 as we speak! High River, Alberta is a good example of that. They are trying desperately to bring in new businesses. However, because of the low-business ratio, each homeowner pays outrageous land taxes to make up the downfall. In the city of Calgary (for example) they generally pay $1500 for homeowner taxes, while High River residents pay $3400 – $4000.

Yes – businesses are extremely important to our economy.

In order for Canada to become Canada again, we must respect everyone’s space. That’s means, not to infringe onto others beliefs. It also means to respect our historical Canadian heritage.

It’s simply logic:

“While in Roman do as the Romans do.”

“Buckle up! You’re NOT in Kansas anymore…”

IF you’re truly here in Canada 🇨🇦 to embrace its historical culture and western ways of living, then I say,”Welcome to Canada!” But, if you’re here for selfish reasons, trying to control and threaten our way of life, you’ll certainly be met with opposition.

I believe the Regina Sikh community understands Canadians and clearly how our way-of-life is beginning to crumble.

Regina Sikh community wishes people Merry Christmas

I highly respect the Sikh community for respecting our culture. If they see what’s happening to our Canadian way of living, so do others. Trust me!

The problem with liberals, is that their too liberal. It means, everyone is waiting at the door to walk-all-over-you. Their blinded by this utopia, imagining a country possessing a prefect society. Also described as “Nirvāṇa”.

Whereas, it’s truly becoming the opposite.

Yes. Sometimes the Conservatives are too conservative.

There must be a happy medium. Maybe we need a brand new government party? Seriously, I don’t want another four years of a Trudeau government, where his spending tactics are rampant worldwide, instead of concentrating on Canadians first.

WE need a government that understands the hard-working tax-paying Canadian, not the ones who feed off of our social care, constantly asking for money.

Canada isn’t totally screwed yet, but one day you’ll wake up realizing you just sold the farm (Canada) to the highest bidder. I’m not too worried for my generation, but for my grandkids and their grandchildren. Well you’re drinking the “purple koolaid” China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and North Korea are patiently waiting to destroy our way-of-life.

It’s inevitable.

As Kuldip Singh Sahota said,”We see how troubled our world is, the Sikh community strives towards PEACE.” Well said! Thank you Kuldip Singh Sahota for your understanding.

Today – October 17th 2018 : Marijuana is now LEGAL in CANADA 🇨🇦

Good morning everyone!

TODAY – First time in Canadian history, Marijuana is now legal throughout Canada. Adult Canadians are allowed 30 grams of cannabis, age specification depending on each province.

It will be interesting to see the results. The questions of legalizing Marijuana is yet to be determined. However, I have a couple of questions:

  1. Will it improve our economy?
  2. Will Canadians use it responsibly?

Whatever happens, will indeed be a learning curve, as the rest of the world watches us closely.

What do you think of this new legalization in Canada? Will it benefit you ?

Thank you,

Bari Demersscreenwriter and science-fiction writer

I AM HUMAN

I AM HUMAN.

WE ARE ALL HUMAN. However, with over 7.4 billion people, we can’t seem to get along. Mother Earth is barely holding on, as diverse cultures breed across its globe.

Mother Earth is constantly being misused by HUMAN BEINGS, polluting the lands, our oceans and the air we breathe. As we coexist with millions of species of wildlife, our arrogant self is damaging our planet faster then ever before. Our over-populated species are crowding every little space, consuming our resources at an alarming rate. WE already know, in order to sustain us, our species must explore the universe, sure to infect another planet, before it’s too late.

WE ARE HUMAN.

We’re like this out-of-control virus, with this incurable sensation to survive, no matter what. However, nature is fighting back. It’s in our genetics, tracing back to our prehistoric ancestors (the caveman) keeping close to our KIND.

Our “kind” can be divided up into five races :

• Caucasoid

• Negroid

• Capoid

• Mongoloid (Oriental/ Amerindian)

• Australoid (Australian Aborigine and Papuan)

It’s then we’re subdivided into each of our origins, such as English, French, and Italian. After this division, we become more divided by each religion and culture. AND – that’s where everything goes to HELL. Nature is fighting back because of our narrow mindedness. We humans cause wars over religion, race, culture and colour, in an attempt to say we’re a better race or have the right religion. In the end, we’ll eliminate ourselves as nature continues on without us. It may take a million years, but Mother Earth will reboot, starting up another evolutionary species.

It’s sad, really.

Here we are ; intelligent HOMO-SAPIENS evolving from our ancestors, but too stupid to realize our own fate, due to arrogance. Our species are resourceful but can never accept or respect each other for who we are.

NO.

Instead we nitpick, clumped together in each of our own cultures, like the caveman we are. Let’s look at ME for example. My culture is said to be a mixture of French and Italian, but my DNA throws in Cree. Because I’m NOT one hundred percent French, Italian or Cree, each culture doesn’t consider me part of their family. As far as their concerned, I’m just a cross-breed, otherwise known as “Heinz 57”. It means, the French, Italians and Cree don’t respect me for who I am. THEY will NOT welcome me into their homes, because technically I’m not part of their culture.

I AM HUMAN.

Even though my father comes from a long line of DEMERS following back to the origins of France, settling in Lower Canada 🇨🇦 (now Quebec) way before the English ever step foot on Canadian soil, the French will never consider me their own.

Even though my mother comes from a long line of VARZES since the Roman Empire, the Italians have never welcomed me into their homes, since my grandfather died.

Even though my French ancestors played house with the first nations (indigenous aboriginal) people, the Cree think of me as an outsider. When we use the term, “Indian”, we’re quickly referred to as being racist, when their race freely refer us, as “White Man”. Believe it or not, both slangs are indeed racist.

Let me explain further.

I’m an artist, be it writing, drawing or graphic design. My Art has taken me along many adventures, including submersing myself into the Northwest Native Art, for the past 40 years. Just recently I asked a member of the First Nations people to help me with this design, as I want to explore the inner meanings of their culture. This is what this person told me, “ I don’t feel comfortable giving advise because the art work you are trying to produce is a form of cultural appropriation. There is more knowledge that goes into a design, that has been passed down from many generations, and has almost went extinct. This is our form of visual language. I appreciate that you enjoy our culture, but there is so much more to learn to respect the artwork.”

Teach me then.

Please teach me the right way to embrace your culture. No response.

Little does she realize I’ve study this art form when I was a teenager. I’m well aware of each cultural background, but like many First Nations People, they each have their own spin on it. It’s their personal art, from their inner soul and spirituality. I may not be one hundred percent Cree, but that’s doesn’t make me an outsider.

Cultural Appropriation.

Now that term is offensive to any artist on this planet. Each artist has his/her own way to express their inner demons of expression, since the dawn of mankind. Each tribal member may have its own form of language arts, but it’s not right to say, we don’t have the right to express it in our own form. That’s like telling an artist you’re banned from expression. I truly understand they want to keep their culture and way of life, passing it down from generation to generation. In fact, I totally respect their culture, requiring guidance, to pursue my artwork. BUT…not to allow an artist to express themselves, has gone too far. Ironically, she asks her followers to draw their expression of Spiritual animals, such as a whale, raven or eagle. Isn’t that also a form of cultural appropriation ?

I AM HUMAN.

I’m a human beings, like any other human being on this earth. All I’m asking is to stop crying wolf when you’re doing the same to others. Treat me as a human being. Treat me NOT as an outsider, but share me your culture. WE must all be treated like EQUALS, no matter your race, religion or cultural upbringing. Embracing each other as a loving family is when WE may eventually get along. To close-the-door in my face is not only rude but arrogant, no matter who YOU are.

The French and Italians have done the exact same thing. So be it. I’m CANADIAN and extremely proud to be part of this wonderful country. My culture is Canadian, that’s my NEW culture.

It frustrates me to no end, as each culture embraces their own, without inviting outsiders, welcoming them in. I say,”Look forward to the future, embrace each human being as your GOD intended YOU to. It’s called respect.”

A Father is What a Father Should Be

A Father is What a Father Should Be
This weekend is Father’s Day, so I would like to say a Father means more then just being a Father figure of the family.

It also means :

1. Each Father has a responsibility to looking after the well-being of his family, loving his children and hopefully teaching them to become responsible adults, where they too, show carrying love towards their children.

2. The Father shares the responsibility with his loving wife or partner, working hard throughout their lives, ensuring their children receive unconditional love ❤️, warm shelter, food, the right education, clothing and protection from harms way.

3. A Father’s responsibility doesn’t end when his children grow up but continues giving advice towards the well being of his children, helping them out as much as he possibly can. The only difference, it’s up to the kids to make their own judgment, striving towards a responsible adult. At first your kids don’t understand your advice, but later on (with life experiences) come to you and say,” Now I understand what you were trying to say Dad.”

4. A Father is a Dad. A Dad is one that will teach you new beginnings, such as riding your first bike or tying your shoes. He will also take you on a journey, exploring what the earth has to offer, from hiking to the top of a mountain to camping ⛺️ within our amazing provincial parks.

5. A Dad will show you how important education really is, by introducing you to the science pavilions across Canada 🇨🇦 , or where he may reside. He may help you discover a new science experiment or take you gold panning, learning the science of geology.

6. A DAD is a loving DAD who cares for his children and wife or partner.

7. A LOVING DAD hopes his children take the right path in the future, to look after themselves and their new family.

8. A LOVING DAD sometimes will bite his tongue, knowing you may have made some wrong choices, but realizes you will figure out in the end, either by your own experiences or life’s roadblocks.

In the end, a LOVING DAD will always love ❤️ his family.

Life is a journey and you’re sure to make mistakes along the way.

BUT –

What’s really important in life, is your FAMILY. A LOVING FATHER/DAD will teach you, FAMILY is everything. If you can’t trust your family, you’ve lost everything in life. FAMILY means trust, love and even forgiveness.

AND –

If your MOM and DAD taught you right, you know when’s it’s time to step-up-to-the-plate and help your mom and dad. It’s the cycle of life.

SO –

I hope I’ve been a good DAD teaching my kids right from wrong, leading them towards kind loving adults, expecting nothing in return. I also hope that they respect me who I am and understand I only want the best in their welfare, loving them forever.
As I head towards retirement, my wife and I will now take this time to enjoy the fruits of our labour, seeing our grandchildren grow into responsible adults to continue on the cycle of life. I hope for the best in my children and their partners, as they continue on into a brighter future. My love to my family.

Love DAD

150 Years Canada – O Canada !

Welcome to Canada 🇨🇦!
Happy 150 years Canada, as we take this year ( 2017) to celebrate the birth of the Canadian Confederation by our founding fathers of Federation.

It all started on July 1 1867, when just four provinces (Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick) formed the new Dominion of Canada.

  • A time when Upper and Lower Canada was the heart of Canada 🇨🇦
  • A time ruled by the French and the English.
  • A time when NWT (the Northwest Territories) filled Western Canada.
  • A time when the Hudson Bay Company ruled the fur trade.
  • A time when the Dominion Police formed (1868), quickly transforming itself into the bigger picture for Canada, the Royal Northwest Mounted Police (RNWMP) founded in 1873.
  • A time when King Edward VII ruled.
  • A time when the population of Canada was only 3,463,000.

150 YEARS LATER

Today Canada has ten provinces and three territories. Our honourable Prime Minister is Justin Trudeau. Today we are protected by the RCMP. Today we have a population of over 36 million, ten times that of 1867.

Our identity is Canadian.

Our love for Canada is the vastness of this beautiful rugged country, from our National Parks (such as Banff and Jasper) to each Provincial regional parks, holding fast to its everlasting beauty.

O Canada —–>

O Canada!

Our home and native land!

True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,

The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
Ô Canada!

Terre de nos aïeux,

Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!

Car ton bras sait porter l’épée,

Il sait porter la croix!

Ton histoire est une épopée

Des plus brillants exploits.

Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,

Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

I’m proud to be Canadian. I am proud to live in a country that allows us the freedom of choice. O Canada 🇨🇦 Strong and Free !

Happy 150 YEAR Anniversary Canada!

READ THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Welcome to Canada! 🇨🇦

We hope our American friends enjoy living in Canada, as we deem our friends of America as our friendly neighbours and we hope you do come and visit CANADA on a regular basis.

We also like to THANK YOU for all the fun we’ve had in Vegas, Nevada Arizona, California, Montana and Hawaii – we Canadians truly appreciate your patronage and warm welcome into the United States.

BUT – the offer above is humour, as I don’t believe our Prime Minister would allow it.

Please read :

FIRST and foremost, Canadian’s already know Americans rarely think of Canada or even care. But, we do care what happens south of us. As a business relationship, our countries trade back and forth one billion dollars, each and every day. That in itself means something. Everything United States does, effects Canada, in one way or another.

But to most Canadians, it not only about business, it’s friendships. We want the best for Americans to. And when there’s an upset in your election, we listen. We really listen.

The newly elect Donald Trump may be what your hoping for, but it worries us greatly. We wonder if the Electoral College system works properly ? Does it really work for the people?

With the recent protests and young Americans placing up signs, saying,” All Power to All the People” we begin to worry. Is the Electoral College system working like it should?

Does each vote count?

And that’s the problem. We have the similar problem here in Canada, where each Province is counted in relationship to the population. In other words, you would need the votes of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba to all agree, in order to beat the eastern Canadian population, as in Ontario and Quebec. Unfortunately Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, all have a hard time for their vote to be counted.

What this means, in Federal Elections in Canada 🇨🇦 Ontario and Quebec dictate the outcome of the election. Mind you, in this last Federal Election, the west and east agreed with the liberal election of our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

An overwhelmingly majority.

Luckily for us, Prime Minister Trudeau has worked out for all Canadians. The only thing I wish – stop spending money.

But, as for the Electoral College and our system in Canada, it doesn’t seem to be in the favour of a true democracy. A democracy where all the people are heard, all the time.

I believe the sign in the NY protest says it all :

Women Power

Black Power

Gay Power

Student Power

All Power to All the People

It will be interesting to see what happens in the next six months.

AND –

The Trump University court cases ? Three of them involve serious lawsuits, involving Trump and his companies in allegations of fraud and racketeering. As he settles into the White House, and it just so happens he gets charged in just one of these allegations, he will be impeached like President Nixon was in August 1974, during the Watergate scandal.

The definition of Impeachment: a formal accusation of wrongdoing against a public official. According to the United States Constitution, the House of Representatives can vote to impeach an official, but the Senate actually tries the case.
The moral of this story ?

All Power to All of the People all of the time.

After a year long election, everyone just wants to get back to the normality of living. But I don’t think things will be normal in the United States for the next four years.

As far as Canada is concerned, Trump may start up the pipeline extension across the United States 🇺🇸. This will surely evoke protests and unrest, but for the Province of Alberta, it will mean prosperity.

Four years – what will it mean to Canada 🇨🇦 and United States 🇺🇸?

We Canadians (I do mean anyone with a brain) real do understand the importance of what happens to our Americans friends. And I do say friends, because we respect your opinion, even though we may not agree with some of them ( example: gun control). We can agree to disagree.

And yes, it’s true, we know Americans don’t even think of Canada. Period.

We understand a true friendship takes time to grow and we will wait, ready to welcome you into Canada, as a friend. A friend where we share the same values of freedom, lifestyle and goals for our children and grandchildren.

And – if you’re happy with the newly elect Donald Trump, that is your right. We can only hope for the best in America, and hope for Americans to successful understanding the hopes and dreams for Canadians too.

That’s all we can hope for.

On that note, I would like to mention, I wrote this piece on our Freedom and what it really means. Please read it and you’ll understand a little of Canada and how we think of our freedom as you do. Thank you for listening and I truly welcome my friendly American neighbours, of which I have many.

Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦!

BTW – Canadians love Vegas – a lot! So much so I operate a fun Facebook Page called Vegas Reviews – come join in the FUN of Las Vegas !

The Heroes and the Courage

Photo coutesy of Fort McMurry Resident

The Heroes, The Courage, The Frustration – We are Canadians, We Stand Strong together.

As these courageous Fire Fighters  battle this monstrous wildfire, the winds have picked up considerably, making this fire even more dangerous then ever before. It has taken on its own entity, a living creature consuming everything in its path.

It’s now over 150,000 hectares and heading over the Saskatchewan border.

The towering flames are now 30 feet high as the high velocity winds keep feeding this ferocious uncontrollably wildfire.  I can hear the winds outside my door, howling like a wolf at night, knowing all too well, this wildfire is impossible to control.

It may be the largest wildfire in Canadian history and quite possibly in North America.

Photo Courtesy of The Canadian Armed Forces

Over 80,000 Fort McMurray residence were forced to flee as this fire consumed the city in the past week.   With very little notice, a gridlock of vehicles tried to head south, as the heat and flames towered the only road.  Some even resorted to riding out of the wildfire with their horses in tow.

Unknown Photographer

After over ten gruelling hours on the road to Edmonton and neighbouring communities, Fort McMurray residence are now safe.   A Fort McMurray kindergarten evacuee joined up with a classroom in Edmonton, she said,”Hi! My name is Hanna and My World is on Fire!”Just heartbreaking to hear from our children.
Canadians throughout Canada are offering their homes, food and comfort as are the communities and cities.

Be safe to the Fire Fighters, the RCMP and those daring pilots, who are all taking their lives at risk to battle natures deadliest wildfire.

Canada vs America – The secret love affair

What do Canadians think of the American election

Interesting headline, but realistically no one cares what us Canadians think. With a Canadian population of over 35 million (according to the 2015 census) and the Americans around 320 million, it’s understandable the American giant has little patients for Canada, right?

Or do they?

Basically, if we keep our nose clean, play hockey and spend our money in United States, then everything should be kosher, right?

Well, believe it or not, it doesn’t work that way.

Americans and Canadians are both effected by the overall economics, if we like it or not. We are both glued-to-the-hip because of the valuable resources on both sides of the border (and if you can’t see it ) our cultures closely mimic each other.

And, so far (thank god) the-powers to-be know that!

Water, electricity, lumber, gold, oil and livestock are constantly being sent south to keep the American country in check. As a matter of fact, an American owned meat processing plant, known as Cargill, in High River, Alberta employees over 2000 people while harvesting 4000 beef cattle per day ! All the cattle are shipped locally to Cargill from our Canadian ranchers throughout the year, to be processed, with 45 percent of the harvest heading back to the United States. Twenty percent heads to Japan while the rest is marketed here in Canada.

You do realize it’s quite a challenge to feed, cloth and shelter 320 million people, right?

It’s an agreed partnership understood by both countries.
As agreed : “Under the MOU, Canada and the United States plan to cooperate on initiatives, including: sharing of knowledge, technical information and research plans to improve environmental practices in conventional and unconventional oil and gas development; enhancing the reliability and security of the North American energy infrastructure; supporting the advancement of an efficient and clean electric grid; enhancing coordination on energy efficiency standards; facilitating increased use of natural gas in the transportation sector; collaborating to reduce the cost of carbon capture and storage (CCS); and engaging in regional and multilateral dialogues on energy and environmental issues to advance shared.”

It’s also agreed, we will keep the power, water and fuel flowing across the border, to sustain the quality of life for Americans. It’s important we work together. Otherwise, both economies will begin to crumble like a set of dominoes. Everyday, hundreds of millions of goods and resources are quietly exported across each border.

Both countries understand the commitment to each other.

Could United States take over Canada by force ? Of course they can. Our small ill-equipped armed forces aren’t any match for the Americans. But, we all know that would never happen. It wouldn’t be in anyone’s best interest, worldwide.

Is Canada and United States worried who gets elected?

Damn rights they do! It will effect over 375 million people across North America. Any change to the balance of our economics will have dreadful consequences to everyone concerned. So, if Donald Trump becomes President of the United States, it will make a big impact on everyone.   Just like the Americans, Canadians too are scared in loosing their way of life.

Will our new young Prime Minister make an impression ?

The warm welcome of the United States of America by President Obama, inviting Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family to the White House state dinner, is without a doubt, an honour. Obviously, the President of United States must be impressed by our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to roll out the red carpet.

Look. I’m very proud to be Canadian and happy we have such good neighbours.

But, even though you have a few rednecks on each side of the border, ranting how terrible each other is, most Americans and Canadians work well together. We always refer our American counterparts, as our friendly neighbours, as they do the same to us. I personally have some great American friends who value Canadians as close partners, doing business on a daily basis.

But, as a Canadian, I’m always hurt when someone puts down our country.  Then I realize where it’s coming from. Uneducated and the uninformed will sound off, without checking the facts. They feel so powerful behind their little computer, trying their best to disrupt and lash out on others.

It’s a sad state of affairs.

Truly their lives must be empty and constantly filled with hate. There’s usually two things that drive people to do things they would not normally do in public. It’s either power or a lack of judgement, fuelled by the lack of education. Unfortunately, the media enjoys hearing people rip each other apart with their social rants, only for better ratings.

Most of us Canadians are a friendly bunch who are willing to give the coat off our backs, to help others. Sure, we love our beer and the favourite sport is hockey and sometimes it’s damn cold in the Great White North, but it doesn’t mean our hearts are. In the most part we are a peaceful country, loving the great outdoors and (if rich enough) enjoy our winters in Arizona or Hawaii.

As far as hockey is concerned, you must realize, most of the hockey players (stars) come from Canada, right? And most of the football players in the CFL are American players, right ?

It’s important to look at all the facts and make a rational decision. Because each decision effects the way we live, our safety and the future of our children.

Canada verses America – it’s the secret love affair.

So, if Americans want to come up here to Canada for a longer stay, you are most welcomed. Its Canadian nature to help out others, when in trouble. That’s what Canada is about. That’s who we are. We were brought up to respect and treat others, as we would like to be treated and respected.  Canadians, like the people of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia were there welcoming stranded American travellers on September 11,2001 into their homes. The community of Cape Breton and the rest of Canada will always welcome Americans, be it a visit or stranded.  You’ll always have a home to go to.

As a Canadian, we also want to be welcomed. And Americans have welcomed us so many times before, from the fun city of Las Vegas to the warm states of Florida, Arizona and Hawaii.  We thank you all for your warm hospitality, it’s very much appreciated.

The only thing I wish for in Canada?

It’s important our historical culture of the French and English influence stay as it is. It’s our history and way of life and we can’t see it disappear.  Along with First Nations People, it’s important to respect their heritage.  After all, they were the first to welcome us all.  So, but away your difference and grow together.

Also, we must all be proud Canadians FIRST with heritage coming in second. If not, we will become nothing more then a mix-match country with no direction and complete chaos. The group of people breeding the most will dictate the laws of our country.

And that’s just plain dangerous.

As well, religions should never dictate or infringe on others way of life. That just leads to power, controlling the masses. With a majority in ones religion, they too can enforce their law, just by becoming a member of parliament. With enough support, the radical group can be elected as a Prime Minister. From there, it’s just a matter of time, their laws control the very freedom our ancestors so dearly fought for.

If you’re going to live in Canada and be Canadian, then you must love our country and be damn proud YOU are Canadian.

We are Canadian, strong and free.  For now.

Fat Cats

From screenplay, BLACK ANGELS by Bari Demers

Oil in Alberta is the topic everyone is talking about, from activists to the folks who rely on the industry, enabling to feed their families. I’m not talking about the ‘Fat Cats’ where their interest is only in the tumbling shares. It’s important to understand what really is going on in our Canadian economy.

How it’s going to effect our way of life?

Very important to weight in on all the facts, from realizing oil isn’t just about the gas at the pumps to feed your car, but it’s about everything you see in your home and community.

To generalize, it’s plastic.

But let’s forget the fact that our TV’s, cars, fridges and stoves, counters and floors, buildings and roads are made from petroleum. Let’s take a closer look at the political gain in the east.  According to George Brookman of West Canadian : Did you know Saudi Arabia ships their oil to New Brunswick, refines it and then sells it back to Canadians?

Say what ?! Is our world turning up side down ? So, let me get this straight.

Activists are complaining about our oil in Alberta, but the east are buying it from Saudi Arabia who could care less about our environment. In fact, an oil spill to them is no big deal. Just another day doing business. Look what Dubai did to their own coastal waters, digging and destroying the coral reef and the sustainable fisheries, making way for luxury man-made islands and five star hotels.

Seriously, they don’t care.

It’s all about money. And, without a doubt, our oil industry is about making money too, but it’s also the very backbone of our Canadian economy. Without oil, Canadians are going to suffer more then they thought possible. Everything will collapse, like dominoes, crashing our infrastructure and most importantly our way of life. Taxes will rises at an unbelievable rate, while our federal and provincial governments are scrambling to find income to sustain our dying economy. Our social system, we take for granted, will collapse before our very eyes, as health care quietly dissolves into money-making private healthcare systems.

And yes, it’s high-time our oil industry does take our environment into serious consideration. The ‘Oil Sands’ of Alberta is the elephant in the room. Sure, go ahead and produce oil, but not at the cost of our environment. Clean up your act. For example, stop using ‘fracking’ methods for extracting oil or gas.

The definition of fracking : ‘the process of injecting liquid at high pressure into subterranean rocks, boreholes, etc., so as to force open existing fissures and extract oil or gas.’

And, to make it worse, they’re using our fresh water to extract it!  This process not only depletes our fresh water supply, it’s causing environmental damage from man-made earthquakes to unusable soil, which grows our food while killing our wildlife. So, yes. It’s high-time our Oil Industries begin looking at cleaner viable solutions to extract our oil. And, it’s very important to begin producing other sources of clean energy to run our vehicles and to produce heat and power to our homes.

But I say this to all those activists, ” Next time you want to complain about our oil, think about how’s it effects your life. Hollywood activists are the worse, because they fly up here in their Lear Jets, get into their fancy vehicles,(both made with 50 percent of plastics) burning high octane gas all the way, and then make a big speech what global warming and our oil industry is doing to our environment. Not to mention the fact, a natural weather pattern, called a ‘Chinook’ terrifies them to hell!

Definition of a Chinook : sudden gusts of warm coastal air mixed through the Rocky Mountains, leaving a trail of melting snow. Within a day, you can have a ton of snow melt before your eyes.

This is nature. Not an environmental disaster.

Look. I really enjoy actors, like Leonardo DiCaprio. Very professional and without a doubt, a ‘for sure’ Oscar winner for his performance in the latest movie, The Revenant, filmed here in Alberta, within our majestic Canadian Rockies Mountains in 2014. But, please, learn all the facts about our environment and stop the BS propaganda tactics.

The facts are clear.  Oil is still an important resource, but so is our forest industry, fisheries and natural gas. Did you know, Canada is one of the largest producers of natural gas?

So, let’s take a hard look at our future. It will surely effect your way of living. The high and mighty ‘Fat Cats’ of our Oil Industries can no longer rape society by greed or political gain. It’s time to get down to business and begin the process of cleaning-up-your-act. Produce oil, but not at the cost of destroying our environment. We are intelligent enough to know how to do it better, stronger and faster.

Am I willing to pay more at the pumps?

The hard question is yes. If it means to strengthen our economy and keep our social system strong, then it makes perfect sense to pay more. But, that doesn’t mean to get more then you deserve. Stop being so greedy and influencing your power onto our political system.

Can’t say I really understand the stock market or how the oil market stands in the world economy. I’m sure greed and power turns the mighty wheels of our stock market. South of the border, our American friends learned that the hard way, when the the housing market crashed, sending honest hard working folks onto the streets.

It’s terrible!

The white collar crime of greed should get the same punishment as one that robs our banks. White collar crime is actually worse then bank robbers, because they take the livelihood of innocent citizens, raping them of their homes and way of life.
This is what I know, the majority of folks in Canada, United States and the world are hard working souls, barely making ends-meat to survive. Please don’t tell us we can do with less and eat macaroni. I’m turning 60 soon. My life has been hard and tedious, but I’m grateful the economy was strong enough to feed and care for my family. Going into retirement, I’m scared of the outcome.

Will I be out on the street too ?

I’m also extremely worried for my grandchildren and what they may have to endure. Now, that frightens the hell out of me! So please, all those with the powers-to-be, please don’t become those ‘Fat Cats’ lining your greedy pockets.

It’s time to give back and help sustain the economy.

Yes. Look after our oil industries, but let’s make it a much cleaner resource having zero impact on our environment. I love my Canada and understand the importance of our way of life and the cost of our freedom.

Please take care of our economy now before its way too late. If anything, for the sake of your children and grandchildren.

The Climate of Disbelief

IMG_2265

I’m not one to raise concerns about war and politics, but my inner soul tells me, we may be in danger.
Canada’s relaxed security protocols along with the flood of refugees could prove to be departmental to all Canadians. Our passionate way of life, to help those in desperate need, could end up being our own demise.

There’s a name for it, it’s called,” The Climate of Disbelief.”

It’s where one believes something terrible could never ever happen. An event of unconscionable impossibilities. It’s only a matter of time – Canada 🇨🇦 is in danger!

9-11
The climate of disbelief set the mood for the United States of America until the dreadful dark days of 9-11. A foreign attack on America soil was thought to be utterly impossible.
Unfortunately the monstrous evil attack did happen.
Clearly we realized we were no longer living in a fairytale illusion, within the safety of our indestructible bubbles. All hell broke loose as these living-demons-of-hell unleashed a fiery of blazoned assaults against our values of freedom.

Many innocent people died that day.
Remembered my heart sunk when I saw the horrid images on TV. A whirlwind of emotions stirred a surreal reaction of disbelief, rage and hate to eventually fear and finally despair. The dreadful thought we weren’t safe, quickly infested my mind.
The Fear of Helplessness.
One thing 9-11 taught us, it was to never ever let the wolf in. Always keep vigil and never ever be strayed, by the evil of man. The world has never been the same since, with the most recent cowardly acts on Paris.

There’s a Canadian saying, “Waking up the bear is never in the best interest of anyone.”
Waking up the bear they did!

Unleashing one of the most powerful armies in the world, with the Commander of Chief leading the way, the President of United States.
Once again, 14 years later, the bear of France has been woken, with President François Hollande vowing vengeance for the innocent dead.

Inviting Terrorists into Canada?
Here WE are today, Canada settling in more refugees then every before, knowingly these people come from torn cities, escaping the indescribable horrors of war. Our passionate ways tell us this is the right thing to do, while in the back of our mind, we truly wonder if we are safe.
Are we doing this too fast? Are we placing Canadians in harms way?

Following social media, reading text after text, the wave of comments are for and against, with unquestionable loyalty of compassion clouding our judgment, winning the fight to protect those in dreadful need.
The passionate cry out,” We must help those in need. We can’t fall to the fears of evil, that’s exactly what they want us to do!”
As it is we are taking in thousands to possibly 160,000 in the next five years. But wait, there’s more. Canada has decided to be more compassionate, by welcoming the new refugees with a free ride and medical treatments, all paid for by our Canadian tax dollar.
The most Canadian thing to do, right ? Or is it ?
How about all those new Canadians who were more than happy to pay their way?

Do they get a refund?
Where do we draw the line?
Recently, an immigrant challenged our Constitution, ( who’s been here for the last 14 years) decides it’s his right to renounces the oath to the Queen immediately after becoming a Canadian citizen. According to Global News, “…Dror Bar-Natan, a math professor from Israel, says the monarchy is a symbol of inequality and calls the portion of the oath dealing with it “repulsive.
Seriously? Repulsive?!
Where ever there’s a loophole, it allows new Canadian citizens to do what ever they want to do. Doesn’t the whole of Canada have the right to vote on the monarchy, before decided? What gives one man the right to change our oath?

It’s NOT right! Something is terribly wrong.
Will it be ok for all immigrants coming forth, to question the very structure of our way of life? Oh wait, they have already.
Ludicrous !
Their own country wouldn’t allow such an act, making it even more outlandish Canada allows it. This type of conflict in their own country would be quickly dealt with. Some countries would even go as far as using the sword of death
Canada – We stand on Guard for Thee…
Canada is afraid to stand fast for our very own Canadian oath. It’s clear to say our very own Constitution Act is crumbling before us. Before you know it, Canada will be nothing more than a wishy-washy unorganized collective of misfits. Lawlessness of nothingness.
Soon, new immigrants will be able incite their own believes into the very structure of our Constitution Act. It will be said, if it offends their religion, morals or believes, we can do what we want.

Question is,”Did we invite terrorists into Canada 🇨🇦?”

Our Constitution:
The Constitution Act of 1982, The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.
The Fundamental Freedoms state:
2 The following fundamental freedoms:
(a) freedom of conscience and religion;
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
(c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
(d) freedom of association.

Do we allow our Constitution to be abused ?
In the end, if the government begins to bend over, leaning in favour of everyone’s belief, there won’t be Canadian anymore. It’s beginning to change the course of something we are NOT, making us un-Canadian.
We, as Canadians, must stand fast for our values, but not at the cost of making us un-Canadian. Our historical way of life shouldn’t be dismissed by religion or personal attitude.
How long before the word ‘Christmas’ becomes taboo?

Just because it offends someone’s religion.
How long before the new religions take over our constitution and bans us from the very freedom we are fighting for ?
How long before Canadians no longer feel safe because of terrorism on our own soil ?
How long before someone renounces the Queen ? Oh wait! That just happened.
How long before its against the law to verbally announce, ” I’m Canadian! ”
They say, ” Give them an inch, they’ll take a yard.”
We must stay prudent and not allow the wolf to get in.

If we are NOT careful, our way of life may fade into the dust of tomorrow. We may become a Climate of Disbelief when Canada is no longer Canadian, fearing for our lives.
A Climate of Disbelief of unconscionable impossibilities.
